Flipped Serendipity

Pan Shot

Pan shot. The beautiful mountain side.
“I love the forests, the creeks, the verdant
mountains that nature provides,” a personal
narration. Cut. A hardly fit man in trunks
spread over a beach lounger, not bothering
to hide his exasperation and perhaps some
lack of care on his face. “But obviously,
That’s not where I am right now… as always,
dragged wherever else with my family.”
More narration, even here, no attempts to
hide a lack of enthusiasm not of protest.
He’d say no, but will go with what makes his
family happy. Even at the expense of his own.

NaPoWrimo April 14 prompt, a poem that takes the form of the opening scene of the movie of your life.
