I wanted to end my days with you
But you’d rather start yours with me.
I wanted to be the star in your dreams
Yet you show up like the sun that’d wake me.
This was when we greeted each other morning and night. I found myself wishing her good night more than good mornings, because I wanted to always have her with me as I end the day. And it was always the most pleasant surprise that I wake up to her morning greetings. It gave me strength to push through the day.
